Release Planning
The Scrum Master must create a tentative schedule of Sprint tasks, and when they will be completed. This release planning gives stakeholders a rough estimate of when to expect certain features. The adaptability of Agile development means that this estimate will not be perfect. Backlog refinement may shift features around, such that some are completed earlier or later than expected. However, this gives stakeholders a basic guideline to go by.
The Scrum Master can revisit the release schedule occasionally to make sure that it is completely up to date. As Sprints are finished, the Scrum Master can create a more specific and accurate release schedule.
With all of these parts in place, the Agile Project can begin. Once all of the guidelines are in place, most Scrum teams get into a cycle and run almost autonomously.
The process of initiating an Agile Project can be complex and overwhelming, but the end result is an efficient team. A properly equipped Scrum team with the right guidance in a Scrum Master can effectively generate software. This produces features that stakeholders are pleased with, in a time frame that all parties can agree on.
