Without proper communication, projects get stalled and hit road bumps that could have been completely avoided in the first place.

Consider this scenario: An SaaS start-up offers website services as an upgrade for top-tier clients. While the Website Content team does not do any client-facing services, it is the Account Manager’s job to communicate between the team and the client over what the capabilities and projects are.

Standard communication usually only occurs in three phases: as the design preview is ready, when the site content is ready for final review, and when the site is live. This causes disconnect between the client’s needs and the web designer’s process.

An entire site can be built with a key issue in page content and layout and not be noticed until the last phase. This could then turn a project that should take a week or two to complete into a project schedule upwards of 3 months.
